I've been looking at several different options for motor mounts. We've all read about the failing Noltec Polyester mounts tearing apart and or melting, the ford option seems like a not so good idea since it lifts the engine higher(and requires a little work to fit), and the OEM are expensive and tear apart as well. Solids are pretty much a permanent indestructible option, but also sends engine vibrations throughout the car. I haven't heard much or anything about Polyurethane mounts for the Z though. For instance, UPG Racing sells a Polyurethane motor mount for the Z32 and states that "Lifetime guarantee! If anything ever happens to these mounts you can send them to UGP Racing and they will be replaced free of charge." They just so happen to be selling their product for ~$80 for a set in their eBay store, nearly half of what they sell on their site. So my questions are, would polyurethane be any better than polyester? Does anyone here have any experience with the UPG mounts? I'm thinking that since that company will send a new set of mounts for free if anything happens to the originals, that it's worth a shot, UNLESS there is any word that the UPG Polyurethane are just as bad as the Noltec Polyester. In that case, I would seriously consider the solid mounts.
